INVITATION

Dear Colleagues,

We, forensic professionals in Bratislava, are honoured and pleased to organize and host, on behalf of the Slovak Society of Forensic Medicine, the 54th Krsek Conference of Forensic Medicine with international participation. The conference will be held in Hotel pod Lipou RESORT, which is located in the recreation area of Harmonia in the foothills of the Small Carpathians, 2 km from the town of Modra. We chose the location of the Conference based on the positive feedback from foreign and domestic participants of the 53rd Krsek Forensic Medicine Conference with international participation held in 2023.

Our aim is to enable all participants to enjoy the academic and social activities of the Conference in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We hope that with the participation of foreign experts, the Conference will provide an opportunity to exchange new knowledge, new experiences and trends in all areas of forensic practice, including education, training and research, as well as in the field of other forensic sciences.

It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in this event. We will do our best for the successful course of the Conference, your well-being and a meaningful time spent during our festive Conference.

KEYNOTE TOPICS

The Conference program will be devoted to all areas of forensic practice, education, training and research in the field of forensic medicine. The performance of forensic practice as well as research activities are based on laboratory diagnostic procedures, which are used in the diagnosis of diseases and violent changes in the human organism in living and deceased, as well as the causes of death themselves. The program will also be devoted to issues of borderline and related fields of forensic medicine.

Parking

Possibility of parking in the hotel parking lot.
The number of parking spaces is limited.


Registration fees

The registration fee is EUR 210.
The registration fee includes admission to the conference, refreshments during the event, lunch, conference materials, shared dinner and VAT. You can find the advance invoice in the confirmation email you will receive after submitting the registration form.


Paper publication

Full texts of presented papers will be published in the journal “Folia Societatis Medicinae Legalis Slovacae”. Manuscripts prepared according to the enclosed instructions for the authors should be sent no later than 31 May 2025 at sidlo45@gmail.com. The printouts of the journal will be part of the Conference materials. Information for manuscript processing can be  found here.

Cancellation fees

until June 2, 2025, 100% of the paid deposit will be returned

from June 3, 2025, 50% of the paid deposit will be returned

from June 15, 2025, the paid deposit is non-refundable

Conference technique

Data projector, PC, wireless mouse incl. laserpoint
It is possible to try out the technique before the start of the conference or during breaks.
Technical service will be available throughout the conference in the lecture hall.

Presentations

which will be taken over from you by the technical staff in the lecture hall, please deliver them on a USB flash drive.


Poster section

Please submit the A0 format poster when registering participants.


Language

The official languages of the conference will be Slovak, Czech and English without the possibility of simultaneous translation.

Materials

Upon registration, you will receive a name tag, a conference set and the conference program.


Lunch

Lunches in the form of a menu are issued in the hotel restaurant on June 19, 2025 against the meal vouchers that you will receive upon registration. Those interested in meatless food are asked to notify the registrants of their request. The price of lunch is included in the registration fee.


Dinner

The joint dinner will take place on June 19, 2025 at 19.00 in the restaurant of the Hotel pod Lipou. The price of the dinner is included in the registration fee.
